Red Flag breathes new life into old sails. Red Flag takes the material and repurposes it into series of Recycled Sail bags, duffles and totes. Each sail is unlike the next; there might be numbers or other markings. Each bag is a one of a kind creation. They also make shopper totes with nautical themed ‘tatoos’ of pirate flag, octopus or cheeky phrases like “NOW WHAT?”

A series of photographs by Kevin Cummins is now available at Paul Smith. Cummins is well known as one of the prime photographers shooting images in the midst of the punk scene in the 1970s. Each image is available in an edition of 30.

I received the new Rapha catalog in the mail today. Nice design. Nice photography. Lots of unique designs and premium, high-tech materials used throughout. Includes a collaboration with Independent Fabrication.
Retail remixed by Ksubi. Walking by the outside you wouldn’t know it was a shop. No signage. Doesn’t look like a store. Maybe a gallery. Maybe it’s still under construction? Can I go in? Confusing signals. Which is the point. Ksubi manages to create a retail environment that fuses retail rules with no rules. Constructed entirely from cardboard and tape, the stores location is upscale Armadale so it’s quite a contrast to the surrounding shops which include themes and galleries.
